Modern Mahj Society provides everything you need to feel confident to go out and play a game of Mahjong with your friends. Hosted at local venues you will have the opportunity to learn the game, support and shop local and maybe make a new friend, or two. Check out the events calendar for our next open dates!

One instructor for up to 16 participants and two instructors for 17 or more.

Mahjong is addictive and a lot of fun, but it has a steep learning curve with many rules and subtle strategies. We supply everything you need—sets, racks, tiles, and mats—which can be costly, so a portion of your ticket fee helps cover the rental of these materials. No need to shop around for everything you need before you know you’re hooked!
