We fell for a game that gave us a community we didn’t know we needed. At its core the Modern Mahj Society is all about connection: from seasoned mahjers to total newbies, we celebrate bird bams, good‑natured play, and shared learning. There’s always a seat at our table and always time for one more game.

Our Services

  • Pull up a chair and play! We will provide everything you need to play: mats, tiles, racks and NMJL cards. There is a $5 fee to these events starting in June.

  • Looking to learn Mahjong? This is where you should begin! Join us for a lesson and leave feeling equipped to join any community game.

  • If you’re husband can have a golf league, you can play Mahjong! Join us for monthly friendly competition. Whether you’re just beginning or a seasoned player this is a chance to make new friends and play your favorite game.

  • Whether you’re looking to host a GNO or event for your larger group we would love to facilitate your Mahjong experience.
